About
A Sunday paper, brewed back to life
The ritual we're reviving
There used to be a morning built for this: a paper on the table, a full cup beside it, and the luxury of reading the week instead of refreshing it. The feed replaced that morning with seven days of alerts and no ending. The Week, Brewed is our attempt to get the morning back — one issue, one Sunday, about a dozen calm minutes, done.
Ten sections, same order, every Sunday
An issue is built like a paper, not a feed. It opens with the five stories that actually mattered, surfaces one story the algorithms buried, hands you a single longread worth the second cup, reports what Washington actually did — a ruling, a bill, an order — without the horse-race, lays out the week in five numbers with the day each was measured and where we got it, pours a rotating round from the beats we love — sports, science, music, medicine, the arts, faith, engineering, tech — lists the new medicines approved this week and exactly who each one was approved for, talks coffee for a paragraph, hands you one idea worth turning over and one sourced fun fact, and closes with something that leaves you in a better mood than it found you. You always know where you are, and it always ends.
Informed, then inspired
We're not trying to keep you reading — we're trying to send you away better. Informed, yes: the week, weighed and done. But also a little more curious than you arrived: one idea worth turning over, one fact worth repeating at the table, one longread worth the second cup. The learning doesn't need to never stop. It needs to be worth stopping for.
The honesty pledge
Every issue is drafted by our AI editor across the whole week's coverage, then edited by a human every Saturday night, and locked by 10pm — if it couldn't wait for Sunday, it wasn't the week's story. We print that on the front page and we repeat it here, because you deserve to know who — and what — wrote the thing you're reading. When we get something wrong, the correction runs in the next issue, plainly labelled.
The coffee, coming soon
The other half of the ritual is a fresh-roasted bag that arrives before the weekend does. The store isn't open yet — there is nothing to buy here today — and when the first roast is ready, the Sunday list hears about it before anyone else.
